Destiny Records re-launches in Bournemouth with Frenzy sponsoring the hard dance section

Friday 9th February 2008

Bournemouth's longest running independent record shop since 1997 relaunched on Friday at new premises in Albert Road. The day was a celebration of all the things "dance music" as a procession of local headline DJs took to the decks to play their own styles.

Frenzy are proud to announce sponsorship of the hard dance section, so if you go in there you'll see all our branding at one section. All the vinyl on display would have been personally recommended by the Frenzy residents.

For those that are too young to remember, Destiny Records first came into business back in 1997 to meet demand for Destiny and The Manor tickets, whilst also supplying Bournemouth's underground DJs hardcore and drum & bass.

The shop closed down in 2005 as Destiny Records "had some time off" after the 10 month rollercoaster ride that was "Club Destiny". During that time Destiny re-established itself as one of the south coasts number one hardcore & drum n bass event promoters with a series of parties at the Opera House and their current home of The Old Firestation.

The event was also broadcast live via webcam over the Internet, so all those watching at home could see everyone getting a little bit drunk and having a party.
