Frenzy's Keep Bournemouth Tidy Sky-Diving Competition
Tuesday 21st October 2008
Is this the best ever clubbing competition? Cheat death as you get thrown out of a plane whilst strapped to one of the DJs... plus win free entry to see the Tidy Boys at the Opera House with Mark EG, Organ Donors, and more.
As you know, at Frenzy we like to do things a little bit differently, so how about this for a prize?
One lucky (or unlucky) person will get to cheat death at 120mph whilst strapped to Frenzy resident DJ Wilma*. We will put you in a tight fitting lycra jumpsuit and throw you out of a plane at 10,000 feet whilst (we hope) still strapped to DJ Wilma. You will then freefall for up to 45 seconds and once the parachute opens (most do) he’ll steer you gently down to earth.
The whole thing will be captured in glorious technicolour as we provide a dedicated cameraman to film the skydive for you. This really is something that we feel is pushing the boundaries both mentally and physically and know of no other DJ qualified to Tandem Skydive.
We will be using the footage on our latest flash-based advertising, and also for subsequent Frenzy PR that will advertise the Tidy Boys and the Keep Bournemouth Tidy night at the Opera House on November the 28th.
If that wasn't enough, the lucky winner will also get the full VIP treatment and will be able to hang around with all the DJs back stage on the night - you can also bring friend in for free too.
The full prize low-down
If you do win the first prize, and you honestly don’t think your brave enough to put your life into DJ Wilma’s hands, then we will happily transfer the skydive prize onto the next available winner, but you can still keep the VIP tickets.
How to Enter
Entering the competition is very simple. All you need to do is email your name to email@example.com and answer the following question:
Orville the Duck had a massive chart hit in 1983 with “I wish I could...”
The tandem skydive winner will be drawn at random on the night and announced live on stage and then notified by email, as will the other winners. All entries will be granted a £10 paying guestlist space at the event in the event of not winning VIP tickets.
So that's the fun stuff… what about the actual event? Well, here's the main room line-up:
Room 2 will be dedicated to hard house classics and bounce starring Cheeky Scott and DJ Discam... with more to be confirmed.
Weather is a deciding factor when skydiving, if its cloudy, raining or windy the event may not be able to happen before the Keep Bournemouth Tidy Event. The jump however will be valid for 12 months from notification.
You must be over the age of 18 and under the age of 40, over 40 you will require a medical signed by your doctor. For men you must weigh under 15 stone and 13 stone for women. Other terms and conditions apply so please read the medical form from the British Parachute Association on this link. The Skydive will take place at Skydive London in Swindon on a Saturday or Sunday.
* DJ Wilma showed us a bit of paper at the pub last night that said on it he was insured and also licensed to do this sort of stuff.
