Technical glitch, but Bryn takes control

Frenzy's Future Heroes night kicked off in the usual Frenzy style... with a technical glitch! We had to delay opening the basement for 20 minutes whilst Velos and the Frenzy residents franticly pulled out leads and put them back in until we finally got sound! Not that any of this mattered at this point, as on the middle floor one of the competition winners was making the dancefloor his own. Bryn's set was extremely well received and had the middle floor rammed before 11pm. Well done that man!

Skydiving Wilma with the old skool

Meanwhile, back downstairs in the basement Wilma finally had control of the sound system and set the scene with his trademark mix up of old skool hard house! A big shout out must go to Wilma as he had to leave early due to an appointment to jump out of a plane the following morning... expect some pictures online soon of Wilma skydiving with the Frenzy banner!

Cheeky Scott crosses the line

Next up on the basement decks was Frenzy stalwart and exponent of the Frenzy Sound, Mr Cheeky Scott. This month Scott had a whole collection of new tunes to debut to Frenzy massive, and didn't dissapoint with a bouncy set of scouse house, hard house, and general good time tunes. He even had time to slip in his signature tune Don't Cross The Line, but with a little twist playing the Tidy Boys edit. The basement was heaving with people jumping up and down... that's what Frenzy does to you.

Carl and V-i-C keep it packed

Back upstairs and Frenzy's very own Mr Funk, Carl Phoenix took over from Bryn to bang out a quality half hour set of hard house which nicely led up to another one of our competition winners, V-i-C. No disappointments from this man with yet another fine performance to a packed middle floor. The only downside to the middle floor party atmosphere was the sound system which was not as loud as we would have liked it due to restriction issues. We will endeavour to sort this out for next time!

Super Ryki and Minky harden it up

Taking over from Cheeky Scott in the basement we had Frenzy favourites MNKY & Ryki who travelled from another clubnight just to get here in time so fair play to them! The boys went hard trance and gave us another wicked set as we've come to expect from them everytime they come down to Bournemouth.

Velos makes hi Frenzy debut to great acclaim

After the Weymouth lads we had the newest Slinky resident Velos all the way from Portsmouth, making his Frenzy debut for us - and he soon showed why he's making waves up and down the UK. He certainly looked like he was enjoying himself and had a very energetic presence behind the decks, which is just what we like to see at our parties!

Andriko does ‘a Whitby’

Whilst this was going on we had another new name up on the middle floor, and that was Andriko. He was cutting, mixing, and generally mashing-up the bounce which really appealed to the Frenzy Angels and cybers. I'm not sure how many tracks he managed to fit into his hour slot, but it was an impressive feat how ever many it was!

The Frenzy Boys crank it up and Mr Black takes his chance

The final sets saw Big Al and Daina (aka the Frenzy Boys) take over in the basement with their trademark end of night bounce set, and on the middle floor we had another debutant John Black. John's worked extremely hard for Frenzy over the last few months so it was a pleasure to see him finally play some records out in a club. And didn't he do well! Many thanks and much respect to all the guys who came down to play, but most of all the clubbers who came down to give us such an impressive turnout!

Faithful Frenzy Clubbers we salute you

Frenzy's next event is on the 20th of July at the Empire Club for the Hard Summer Ball. Tidy Girl Kym Ayres will be headling the basement with more acts to be confirmed. On the top floor we have hardcore with rising star Clodhopper. The middle floor will provide the chilled tunes of Funky Frenzy... to find out more check our events section. More news very soon!
