Frenzy with the 12 Inch Thumpers @ Dusk Till Dawn Nightclub in Bournemouth
Friday 7th March 2008

Frenzy's March event at Dusk Till Dawn nightclub in Bournemouth saw the return of some of our all time favourite guest stars, the 12 Inch Thumpers... well nearly, because Jake's car broke down so we only got half of them in the form of Nick! Also joining us was Resonate's main main and resident, SL-DJ who brought with him the hard trance sound for the latter part of the event.

Proceedings opened up with the ever impressive DJ Wilma on the top floor, this time joined on the back to back with Cheeky Scott. The guys played a classic selection of house tunes as the club started to fill.

By half eleven it was time to open up the basement and this month it was Frenzy resident Carl Phoenix who got us all started with a rather bouncy opening. It wasn't long before the downstairs was full with the Frenzy faithful.

At midnight Cheeky Scott and DJ Wilma did a swap with Carl, as the two lads came downstairs to get behind the decks, whilst Carl went up for an hour's worth of electro. Scott and Wilma took the music up a level and at times were downright filthy. Check out the video at the bottom of the page where they played Temptress on Mohawk Records.

Back on the decks for Frenzy next was Nick from the 12 Inch Thumpers. He played it a little tougher and harder than usual, but that's what the crowd wanted so Nick delivered. At this point the dancefloor was heaving, and there was even some bloke dressed as Jesus!

Upstairs in the second room the electro was taking hold and proving popular with the sexy crowd. The clubbers saw the Frenzy debut of our friend from the Old Firestation, Mr Sparky... and what a great debut it was too! Sparky had the electro and dirty house vibe off to a tee.

Following on from Sparky was Slinky and Frenzy resident Jon Merritt, aka one half of Dirty Inc. Another faultless set of their own productions and bootleg mash-ups. I think it's fair to say that 2008 is definitely the year of Dirty Inc so far!

Back in the basement Nick from 12 Inch Thumpers had handed the reigns over to SL-DJ, aka Stuart from Resonate. Stuart's one of the south coast's premier hard trance DJs and soo showed why. It was pretty fierce. See the video at the bottom of the page.

After Stuart's hour of hard trance, we had an old face take back to the decks for the first time at Frenzy in quite a while. That man was John Black, who if you remember last year was one of our Future Heroes. John picked up where the last set left off with hard trance, and had the pleasure of the last set through till the end of the night.

The night ended upstairs with an impromptu return back to the decks from Sparky due to a missing DJ. Highlight of the last set had to be Josh Wink's Higher State of Consciousness which had the room two buzzing. Top night, top DJs, packed club. Frenzy does it again.

Frenzy now has a little holiday until May, but then when we do come back it will be with a bang as we have the biggest name in hard dance playing an exclusive two hour set. That man is Andy Whitby, and if you saw him last time you'll know what to expect. All the details are in our events section.
