Frenzy present the Tidy DJs and DJ Jedi @ Dusk Till Dawn Nightclub in Bournemouth
Friday 1st February 2008

February's hard dance and electro party at Dusk Till Dawn nightclub in Bournemouth saw the Frenzy debut of the Tidy DJs from Tidy Trax. The Tidy DJs comprise of Tidy label manager Sam Townend and Deano. Hosting room two was Frenzy's very own electro act Dirty Inc, supported by DJ Jedi with an old skool set.

Starting off proceedings as he does so well was Destiny and Frenzy's very own DJ Wilma in room two, who welcomed the crowd into the club with his own inimitable house style with some quirky tracks thrown in for good measure.

The Frenzy faithful soon found themselves getting into the groove of the Dusk Till Dawn room 2, which provided a great warm up routine before we opened the basement up at half eleven.

Frenzy hard dance residents Carl Phoenix and Cheeky Scott were straight into the thick of it with a back to back set which was intended as the pre-Nu Religion warm-up for their gig at Mass in Brixton the weekend after. By the looks of things they may have worn themselves out too soon!

On the top floor we had Raindance favourite and one of the UK's foremost old skool rave turntablists take to the decks. That man is DJ Jedi who was making his second appearance for Frenzy. He never fails to dissapoint and treated the crowd to some classic rave favourites.

Back in the basement, Carl and Scott were still cranking out the hard dance tracks and generally fooling around. Their infectious approach to DJ'ing meant the mood soon spread to the dancefloor and as is the norm at the Frenzy events all the clubbers were in high spirits.

DJ Jedi's set was coming to a close on the top floor which meant the now religious fervour that tends to meet a Dirty Inc electro set had commenced. This week we were without Jason Hales so we had a one-man Dirty Inc to contend with... Jon Merritt kept the floor moving so all the sexy people could have their fun.

Jon Merritt of Dirty Inc soon showed why him and production partner Jay Hales have secured a residency with Slinky alongside their existing Frenzy one, with another electro-fused set of their own mash-ups alongside more established tracks.

Whilst the upstairs at Dusk Till Dawn was rocking to the electro sounds, the hard dance fans were giving it up for the Frenzy debut of the Tidy DJs. By the time Sam Townend and Deano came on the dancefloor was full so was a traditional Frenzy welcome for them.

The Tidy DJs are known for their hard funk-infused hard dance and soon showed Bournemouth why they're making such waves across the UK. These guys showed why they're masters of the art as they managed to take the Frenzy dancefloor onto a new but equally frenetic vibe.

Following on from the Tidy DJs was Frenzy's frequent guest, and master of the bounce mash-ups.. Andy Whitby style... was Andriko. Andriko plays a mad style of bootleg bounce fused with old classics vocal snaps and was making his third appearance for us.

Back upstairs, Dirty Inc's Jon was keeping the electro fans happy, and soon made way for Frenzy resident Carl Phoenix, who proved he can play the funky electro as well as the hard as nails NRG.

Frenzy was yet again going on through until the early hours, and the party showed no signs of slowing. 2008 is turning out to be quite a year so far.

The final set of the night in the basement was down to Frenzy's very own "Miss Hard House", Jo Jo, who made sure that the last remaining survivors danced through until five am. And it sure was a fitting finale.

Yet another successful night for the south coasts' hard house enthusiasts... hope you liked the doorway to Dusk Till Dawn (see above) - looks good doesn't it!
